BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE AUSTIN AREA RAISES MORE THAN $1 MILLION
TO OPEN DOORS AND BUILD GREAT FUTURES FOR LOCAL YOUTH

Fundraising gala marks the end of 50-day campaign celebrating “Reasons to Believe” in Club kids

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, guests, donors, volunteers, staff and board members, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area raised more than $1 million at the Blue Door Gala held Friday, Nov. 3 at JW Marriott Austin—all for the benefit of opening doors to great futures for kids who need us most. More than 600 people attended the event.

“What a great feeling to raise money to help open doors to ensure that all Austin youth have the opportunity to realize their potential and pursue their dreams,” said BGCAA CEO Misti Potter. “Our organization exists to do just that—and the support raised during our annual campaign and the Blue Door Gala not only changes kids lives today, it impacts our community tomorrow.”

In addition to the $1 million raised for BGCA during the Blue Door Gala, a $700,000 commitment was designated to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area Home Club capital campaign. The commitment was made as a generous “match” for all the donors who made contributions during the Gala by the Sheth Sangreal Foundation.  The Sheth Sangreal Foundation was founded by Brian Sheth, co-founder and president of Vista Equity Partners and his wife, Adria, and strives to make the world a better place by empowering others.
