The celebration featured special remarks from BGCAA CEO Zenae Campbell, Austin ISD Superintendent Dr. Matias Segura, Andy Roddick Foundation CEO and President Jamie La Fuente Garcia. We also had special guests from National Afterschool Alliance Policy Advisor, Jillian Luchner and Travis County Judge Andy Brown who shared importance of the work BGCAA does.
Club members, their families, and BGCAA Club directors also joined the event, highlighting the community’s excitement for this transformative initiative.
“Afterschool programs like those offered by Boys & Girls Clubs are more than just a place to go; they are a place to grow. These Clubs will provide our students with enriching experiences that inspire curiosity, develop leadership skills, and build strong character,” said Superintendent Matias Segura.
