Colette Johnson

Philanthropy Officer
colette.johnson@bgcaustin.org

Colette is a passionate fundraiser with a heart for service and a mission to make a difference. As a Philanthropy Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, she builds meaningful relationships with donors and partners to support life-changing opportunities for local youth.

Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Colette led teams in retail banking. But during the pandemic, she felt a powerful call to give back in a deeper way. She began her nonprofit journey at Austin Child Guidance Center, advocating for children’s mental health services, and later joined the American Red Cross, where she supported disaster relief efforts, blood drives, and donor engagement initiatives to help alleviate human suffering.

In every role, Colette has helped grow donor networks and elevate the missions of the organizations she serves. She firmly believes in the power of people to drive meaningful change—and when she’s not connecting with the community, you’ll likely find her watching Marvel movies or making memories with her family.
