An Evening of Old Hollywood Glamour, Elegance, & Entertainment in Celebration of Austin’s Club Youth
After a year hiatus, the Great Futures Gala was back in full swing on Friday, November 5th with nearly 400 community leaders and youth advocates in attendance to support Great Futures for all kids. With performances from Club Alumni, Sydney J., the Burnet Middle School Dance Team, and BGCAA’s very own CEO, Misti Potter – the 2021 Gala showcased the incredible talent and potential that is encouraged and fostered at the 20 Clubs in the Austin Area.
Proof that great things can happen when we all work together, through the Gala, BGCAA was able to raise over $750,000 to support Club scholarships, ensuring that every child has access to critical resources, technology, and safe after-school care.
“This year’s gala was more than a fundraising event for BGCAA. It was our culminating celebration of the perseverance and resiliency of the youth and families we serve, the staff and board members who gave their all and the community who trusted us to ensure great futures for kids who needed us most in some of the most tumultuous and unpredictable times in our country’s history. We are grateful for all of the support and we are positively optimistic for what 2022 has in store for BGCAA and our members.”
