Dr. James Broaddus 

Broaddus & Associates 

Dr. James Broaddus, P.E., is the Chief Executive Officer for FJW Construction and President of its parent company, Broaddus & Associates Inc. Innovation is what Dr. Broaddus emphasizes when attempting to improve the project process ultimately through pre-project planning. He previously worked as the Associate Director for Implementation Programs at the Construction Industry Institute.  

Dr. Broadus has also served for the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps and the Seabees (Navy’s military construction forces) where he developed his project management skills across a variety of contract design and construction work.  

Dr. Broaddus holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
