AT&T and Dell Open 50th Connected Learning Center at BGCAA’s Home Club

Jul 21, 2024 | Club Updates

On July 19th, BGCAA welcomed our friends from AT&T and Dell at Home Club on the Sheth Family Campus to celebrate the grand opening of the 50th Connected Learning Center in the U.S.!

With nearly 2.8 million households in Texas lacking broadband access, Connected Learning Centers (CLC) provide free resources for students and families, including high-speed internet, computers, tutoring, and mentoring, and the new CLC at Home Club will greatly benefit thousands of youth who are able to utilize this access to technology to further their learning and career aspirations.

“We are grateful to AT&T and Dell for their partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs and for their efforts to provide the critical resource of digital connectivity to our youth,” said Zenae Campbell, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. “Our mission is to prepare all youth to have Great Futures, with a strong focus on STEM programming, and the new CLC at our Home Club in Austin will not only provide our kids with connectivity, but also the skills and understanding they need to leverage technology so they can excel in school, in the workforce, and in their personal lives.”

At the event, youth were able to tour the new CLC and attend a live Q&A with top leaders from AT&T, Dell, and the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Jim Clark.

Thank you AT&T and Dell for helping our youth build Great Futures!
