About Us

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is Austin’s leading youth development agency currently serving more than 8,200 registered members, engaging with 12,500 kids through 32 locations in the Austin area.

Investing in kids not only changes their lives today. Investing in kids impacts our community tomorrow. That’s why Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is proud to celebrate more than 52 years of service to the Austin community.

According to Christian, “I can come here and not only spend time with great friends or get work completed for school, I can also open up and be me.  Boys and Girls Club is a home away from home and that’s why it’s valuable to me.” Christian is one of thousands of local youth success stories.

Investing in kids is vital to their development. That’s why the heart of BGCAA’s mission aims to provide opportunities for them to become productive, responsible citizens. Our youth participate in high-impact development programs that, when compared to non-club youth, result in better school attendance, better grades, higher graduation rates and a higher likelihood of attending college. To ensure those outcomes are met, we’ve grown our Club programming and services from six to 119 programs, each one serving our three pillars of Academic Success, Character & Leadership and Healthy Lifestyles.

Through the support from local individuals, businesses and BGCAA staff, Club youth are given the tools and opportunities needed to create great futures.

More than 50% of BGCAA’s operating budget comes from individuals, businesses and family foundations in the Austin area. We rely on the generosity of these philanthropic-minded individuals and entities to continue to serve more than 2,400 kids per day, as well as address the enormous, unmet need for services.

Whether you are an individual, small business owner, community friend or a major corporation, you can give back to the Boys & Girls Club to support our mission. Corporate branding, underwriting, matching gift programs, give back days, “percent” sales and in-kind giving are just a few examples of how you can get involved. For more details on the giving options mentioned above, please contact Erika Holmes at erika.holmes@bgcaustin.org.
